The Ink Grade Estate Vineyard claims a view hidden from most in the Napa Valley. Perched high atop the Vaca Mountain Range amongst densely forested pines and sequoia stands, it lies in the northeast corner of the Howell Mountain AVA with a panorama facing east.
Born and raised on the Sonoma Coast, Matt was first introduced to wine by his best friend’s dad who owned a winery in Geyserville. Curious about the world, Matt has traversed through extraordinary vineyards in Spain, France, Argentina, and New Zealand, and worked with dedicated farmers who steward some of the greatest terroirs in the world. His work includes Araujo Estates, Reuling Vineyard, Chamboulé Winery, and Domaine Dujac in Burgundy. It was in Burgundy that Matt developed a passion for biodynamic and natural farming practices, which he has continued to embody throughout his career including here at Ink Grade.
