Rick Allison, partner of King Street Oyster Bar,  has 6 restaurants in the DMV area. During his free time Rick volunteers as a Culinary Judge in the Washington DC high school system, DC Central Kitchen, and the Best Kids Entrepreneurship in DC.

Rick began cooking in his grandmother’s restaurant in Oakmont, Pennsylvania, where she taught him how important it is to use the freshest ingredients and about replicating the love and care it takes to cook for every customer as if they were family. He later took his passion and joy for cooking and graduated from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York. He’s worked for many large companies such as Great American Restaurants (Mike’s American Grill, Sweetwater, Coastal Flats, Jackson’s, Carlyle, etc.); Clyde’s Restaurant Group (Clyde’s, Old Ebbitt Grill, The Hamilton, etc.); and BRAVO BRIO Restaurant Group (BRAVO!, BRIO Tuscan Grille, Cucina Italiana, etc.). He opened his first restaurant, The Dock at Lansdowne, in Lansdowne, Virginia, and later Pittsburgh Rick’s in downtown Leesburg. The first King Street Oyster Bar opened in Downtown Leesburg on May 5, 2016.
