Tosca’s Executive Chef Phil Marzelli is originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is a second-generation Italian American who is inspired by his mother and grandmother’s Italian heritage. Chef Phil earned his Associate’s Degree from the Culinary Institute of America in New York.
He started his Career in Washington DC in 2009 at the Hotel Monaco at Poste Modern Brasserie. He has worked in such highly regarded restaurants as Garrison and Vidalia and discovered his passion for Italian cooking from working as the Executive Chef under Fabio Trabocchi at Casa Luca and Sfogllina downtown. Chef Phil brings his love of fresh, local ingredients and deep knowledge of Italian Cuisine to his dishes at Tosca.
