Born in Buenos Aires, Chef Manuela Carbone is a globally trained, innovative culinary leader. Educated at Gato Dumas and El Obrador under Emiliano Schobert, she built her career in acclaimed kitchens including COI in San Francisco, Chila in Buenos Aires, and Ekstedt in Stockholm, where she rose to Senior Sous Chef and led open-fire cooking with Nordic ingredients. She also earned Best Commis Chef of the Americas as part of Argentina’s Bocuse d’Or 2019 team.
With experience spanning fine dining and international openings in Stockholm, Miami, and Montauk, Carbone is known for her global perspective, technical precision, and creative vision. Now Executive Chef at Atlantico in Georgetown, she brings bold, sustainable, globally inspired cuisine to Washington, D.C., shaping the restaurant’s culinary identity with a fresh, modern approach.
