Chef Edward Reavis is the chef-owner of All Set Restaurant & Bar in downtown Silver Spring. Known for his contemporary American cuisine with New England influences, Chef Reavis focuses on fresh ingredients, seasonal flavors, and thoughtful hospitality. Under his leadership, All Set has become a beloved neighborhood destination for brunch, lunch, dinner, and community gatherings.
Hailing from the small town of Emporia, Virginia, Edward Reavis began his culinary journey at the age of 15 washing dishes. At that time, he did not know that food would become his main passion. Later, while pursuing a degree in Physical Education at Virginia State University, Reavis realized how important nutrition is for a healthy lifestyle but, more than that, he found that he loved to cook and create dishes to impress his friends and family. That love took him to Baltimore International Culinary School where he was able to study professional cooking while working at Morton’s Steakhouse and Gaylord National. Reavis left Gaylord National to join the opening team at the Capital Grille Chevy Chase, MD, where he met Jennifer Meltzer. In 2012, Edward received his Professional Chef Certification from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY. Most recently, Edward worked as sous chef at Cru Oyster Bar in Nantucket, MA which was named “Best New Restaurant” by Boston Magazine. With All Set, Chef Edward Reavis looks forward to using traditional culinary practices and incorporating new techniques he has learned through his travels.
