Domaine de Lagravière has been famous since time immemorial for its excellent terroir and famous “hillock” of gravel. Bought by Michèle and Alfred-Alexandre Bonnie in late 1996, the estate has been completely renovated. It features a first-class terroir and vineyard tended according to the principles of sustainable agriculture, innovative and efficient facilities making use of gravity flow with which to enhance traditional winemaking, and a committed, energetic team. Château Malartic-Lagravière is only one of six estates in Bordeaux classified for both its white and red wines.
Château Malartic Lagravière also own Bodega DiamAndes in Mendoza, in the heart of the Uco valley, one of the best quality vineyard areas in Argentina. In 1999, Michel Rolland along with 6 other Bordeaux winemakers founded the Clos de los Siete: an innovative and unique concept: more than 850 hectares divided in 7 plots, each one with its own winery. Nestling in the foothills of the Andes Mountain, at an altitude of 1,100 meters, the Bodega DiamAndes benefits from an ideal terroir: a temperate climate thanks to the altitude, and that together with its sand-gravel-clay soils, allow Malbec — the King of Argentinean grapes — to fully express itself.
