Johnny Spero is the Head Chef/Owner of Reverie Restaurant in the Georgetown neighborhood of Washington, DC. Spero has spent the past decade working in some of the best kitchens in the US and abroad. He began his DC culinary career at Komi where he eventually became the pastry chef. He then left DC to stage at Noma. He returned to the states to work for his culinary mentor, John Shields, at Townhouse in Chilhowie, VA. His next move brought him back to DC to become Head Chef at Minibar by Jose Andres. After 2 years Spero departed to San Sebastian to work at a restaurant that had been incredibly influential to his career, Mugaritz. Johnny began working on Reverie immediately after his time abroad in Spain, which opened in October of 2018.
