Binyam Alemayehy graduated and trained at Lincoln Culinary Institute in 2012, and he was tapped for his first opportunity as a cook, working at Charlie Palmer DC. He then moved to The Westin hotel and worked as Lead cook until he was offered the position of Chef de Partie at Tabie DC.
In 2016, he joined Vinoteca as Sous Chef and moved to Sage Dining Events in 2018 where he supervised the entire events. In 2020 he became the Executive chef of Kitsuen until he joined Donahue in February 2022.
Located in the heart of historical Georgetown, Donahue combines fine dining with an upscale lounge setting. At Donahue, guests will enjoy a fine dinner menu curated by their culinary team that may range from caviar and seafood towers to house-made pasta and an indulgent chocolate pot de crème. All of which is accompanied by their extended champagne list or paired with expertly crafted cocktails.
