Heart's Delight Grand Tasting & Auction

Saturday begins with a virtual tour of Bordeaux, including a unique wine tasting of the 2011 vintage. The adventure continues with exciting seminars and food prepared by some of the nation’s top chefs, making Heart’s Delight the place to discover the latest in epicurean trends and new talent. Guests will also enjoy wine from the world’s best vineyards as well as the opportunity to bid on exclusive travel packages, dining experiences and rare and exceptional wines during the spirited silent and live auctions.

Formal Bordeaux Master Class  

4:00 – 6:30 p.m.

A formal seated tasting of the 2011 vintage and an older vintage of the winemaker’s choosing.  Château owners and directors will also be on hand to discuss their wines.

Cooking with L'Academie de Cuisine
Join chef-instructors from Washington, DC’s premier cooking school as they demonstrate seasonal dishes that are heart-healthy and delicious!  You’ll learn valuable techniques you can use throughout the year to prepare meals that are as fabulous to eat as they are fun to prepare. Tastings available to guests throughout the seminar.

The Art of Crafting Bubbly - How the World's Greatest Wine is Made and How to Drink it
Champagne Henriot was founded in Reims, France in 1808 and is one of the last family owned champagne houses.  Champagne Henriot is known for their rich, elegant house style, and they will share their secrets for producing the world's greatest wine and the best way to taste and evaluate champagne.

6:30 - 7:30 p.m.

This is the newest addition to Heart's Delight!  Come join a twist on your usual cocktail reception while bidding on exciting silent auction lots.

 

Tasting Reception & Auctions

7:30 - 11:00 p.m.
Silent auction reception with Celebrity Chef Stations, Wine Stations and 200 lot silent auction. Also includes a live auction of dining experiences featuring our participating chefs and exciting trips.
