Berkley grew up in Baltimore, MD and graduated Cum Laude from Temple University in 2008 with a degree in Communications. While attending Temple she also played on their Division 1 lacrosse team and garnered both academic and athletic honors including being named a Regional All-American.
Before coming to the American Heart Association Berkley worked at the Providence Health Foundation in Washington, DC for over 2 years where she established 2 new events- Providence Uncorked, a food & wine event, and Grand Rounds for Community Leaders, a quarterly breakfast program.

Michelle Vegliante

Michelle Vegliante grew up in both New Jersey and Georgia. In 2011, she graduated Summa Cum Laude from Georgia Southern University with a degree in Public Relations.

 

Michelle has a passion for nonprofit work. She once started her own student nonprofit organization, Painters for Nonprofits, where she organized the refurbishment of several nonprofit buildings. Currently, Michelle serves as an adult literacy tutor.

When she isn’t planning Heart’s Delight, Michelle enjoys exploring DC, reading, and running. She has never been known to turn down a glass of white wine or a piece of chocolate.
